Our story
la fille anglaise, is me, Jess, an English girl who lives in a small French Canadian town. I arrived in this town shortly after my son turned six months old. I changed a lot since then. Amazing how self-discovery leads a person to make bold choices. Separation from my son’s father, taking on a new career path, falling in love again, and most importantly, learning to be a mom to my now fourteen year old son.
la fille anglaise is about what I am up to, what I learned, what challenged I am navigating, what else I added to my full plate, I can keep going! If what I share can encourage you to try something new, then follow, I am happy to have you with me.
A little something about la fille anglaise….
la fille anglaise is about creativity. From as early as I can remember, I colored, drew and painted. I knitted my first sweater by the age of 12 and wore it until the elbows were threadbare! I dabble in embroidery, quilting, and sewing.
la fille anglaise is about food. I love being in the kitchen. I have few cook books, but those which captured my attention share the same quality: slow cooking, beautiful ingredients and a love for wine.
